Tyler Hamilton (born March 1, 1971, Marblehead, Massachusetts) is a former American professional road bicycle racer who competed in the Tour de France and the Tour de France Prologue. He has the distinction of being the only American to have won one of the Five Monuments of Cycling. Hamilton began his professional cycling career in 1995 as a member of the United States Postal Service cycling team. He was a teammate of Lance Armstrong during the Tour de France in 1999, 2000, and 2001, during which Armstrong won the Yellow Jersey for the third time.
