The vehicle was a 2017 White Volvo truck tractor semi-trailer combination, and the driver was an 83-year-old male named William Latch from Sumner, Illinois, traveling south on Bridgeport Road.

Half a mile south of Graddey Lane in Lawrence County, the vehicle hit Julie Ivers as she was on the roadway, causing her to pass away at the scene.

The police department confirmed that the crash is under investigation, with further details to come forward, and the driver was unharmed during the collision.
