Courtney Singleton Bailey is the mother of singer-songwriter Halle Bailey.

Courtney Bailey is a native of Burke, Virginia.

She attended Lake Braddock Secondary School and subsequently graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

Courtney is reportedly a former HR recruiter for Twitter.

Since January 2000, Courtney Bailey has served as relationship Manager and Talent Management at Chloe and Halle Bailey.

Courtney Bailey is married to Doug Bailey. She and her husband Doug share three children; Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey and Branson Bailey.

Courtney’s children Chloe and Halle Bailey are the R&B duo Chloe x Halle. The sisters launched a YouTube channel at the ages of 13 and 11 respectively, with a cover of Beyoncé’s “Best Thing I Never Had”. Their rendition of Beyoncé’s Pretty Hurts caught the star’s attention in 2013.

They were then acknowledged by Beyoncé, who became their mentor and later signed them to her label, Parkwood Entertainment. Chloe x Halle then released the EP Sugar Symphony (2016) and the mixtape The Two of Us (2017).
